This week the first major Aleutian swells have bombed the North Shore of Oahu, 10 foot sets hitting rockpiles through to the Sunset stretch. Reports coming in that rockpiles is looking the best is has in years. A fickle wave at times really that only seems to be best early in the season - most likely due to the collection of sand that occurs during the quieter months. Based on he fact that this swell is due to peak at 14 feet I'd get my skates on if you want to sample it before all that sound ends up down someones pants after the unique mother of all hidings that only Rockpiles seems to be able to dish out.

Come and get back up to speed on Hawaii and the North Shore and where's where on Surfing Atlas
