The Southern Beaches of Sydney are located between the Eastern Suburbs down to the Cronulla area.

These areas include:
Bondi, Bronte, Tamarama, Clovelly, Coogee, Maroubra, Malabar, Little Bay, La Perouse, Phillip Bay, Lady Robinson Beach, Kyeemagh, Brighton-Le-Sands, Monterey, Ramsgate, Sans Souci, Dolls Point, Sandringham, Kurnell, Wanda, Elouera, Cronulla Beach and Shelly Beach

It is one of the most popular areas for visitors to Sydney, including the Bondi Beach, Watsons Bay and Cronulla Beach areas. It is well-served by public transport and located on the same side of Sydney Harbour as the city.

It all begins with South Head, Watsons Bay on the southern reaches of Sydney Harbour and stretches down through Bondi, Bronte and on through to the vertitable surf fun park that is the Cronulla area. Plenty of rides to be had down here for those willing to line up for their turn.

The southern beaches have a very different vibe from Sydney's Northern Beaches and reflect a unique blend of cultures, socio economic backgrounds and attitudes that make this area a welcome variation from the North.

You will of course be very glad to hear that a handy collection of world class beach, reef and points make any trip here very worthwhile also.

J Bar: Novotel in Brighton le sands, 25 August 2006

There are so many areas covering the Southern Beaches of Sydney, so there would be alot of hotels, apartments, beach houses, to choose from.

Vibe hotel and Novotel are quite common places for travellers to stay at. Depending on which beach you are planning to visit most, you can look around the area for hotels.
The Southern beaches are quite far from one another so an advice would be to either live close to public transport, preferrably a train station, or rent a car.
