The Durres region will be one of the best chances you will have of catching some swell in the Adriatic. The piers and breakwalls have been constructed to create lees for a lot of the shipping industry in the area and at times can create near perfect banks - perfect banks so oft starved of swell. It's enough to make the travellign surfer take up rollerblading in frustration; offshore winds, no crowds, perfect banks but something missing.

When the November winds blow across the Med they do occasionally funnel a vortex up into the Adriatic which is exactly what you need to turn these banks into peeling lefts...pray for surf.
