where to stay
Jpatokal: Pretty pastel houses in Viejo San Juan, 9 May 2007
As the biggest city, San Juan has a wide range of accommodation, but few budget options of any kind. European-style youth hostels do not exist in the city. If you want to find Colonial-style city hotels, they will be clustered in Old San Juan, while the big beachfront resorts are mostly out in Condado and Isla Verde.
You'll be looking to spend a fair bit on accommodation as there are few budget options. Intercontinental San Juan Resort & Casino is available for those who would like to stay at an international hotel.
