Hey Longy...can't see it from here! Forecasts are for clean but tiny for the next few days. Ripcurl Pro bleachers are being erected, and giant pictures of Mick Fanning. The promotional shot of Fanning is cropped in such a way that out-of-context and to the eyes of a non-surfer, a viewer would have to say "WTF is THAT!?" LOL

Saturday 20th -The best its been for some time...clean offshore, nice straight swell, low tide nice and early. Surfed a secret spot, not pictured. Fast, hollow and shared by just six surfers...all as it should be on my birthday!The next day saw the onshore kick back in, but Wednesday is shaping up again.

Another secret location slightly off the beaten track...this one holds up to fifteen ft and easily rivals the better-known spots not far away. Scored this a week ago before it all turned to slop just in time for the girls contest at Bells. Looking at prospects "Down-South" over the long weekend, and a telephoto lens still on the shopping list!

Hey Rogg...actually only got as far as Lorne and had second point alone on Sunday at dusk.

Love the lil' dredge and rock bunny-hops. Fun when all the crew are at the slab and totally oblivious. Lived there 3 yrs so it feels comfy.

A very mixed couple of weeks surf-wise, as the Bells footage attested...Easterly swell for a while restricted options, but Sunday 11th saw a good size SW swell. I sought some solitude and the chance to try out my new camera. This spot is a tricky one which you definately don't know. Lonely and steadily getting colder. 4-3 steamers out soon!
