I bought this board recently and have been very happy with it but I have an opening in my quiver and was wondering if anyone would have a few recommendations as to what kind of boards would be similar to the Mac Carver. Don't want something semi buoyant, embarising to relearn etc.

Not sure I would call a 7'2" a longboard but grats on the new ride anyway. Anything McTavish seems to work pretty well. 9'2" Fireball a better choice over the carver IMO

I will bend like a reed in the wind...

Longinus and Maudib, a couple of thoughts on boards between the short and long board gap.I have an 8ft Surftech Magic fish great board goes rocket like, only problem on first surf was learning to keep the drive on and not cruise around white water, a little corky until you keep the drive on. Applies to all epoxy PU boards I've ridden, keep the drive up!Boards I'd like to try are the 7S range from GSI including their epoxy versions. The shaper for this is Gary Loveridge who shapes Wizsticks at Long Jetty. He shaped many boards for me when I lived on the Central Coast, I've carried 100kgs and my personal paddle plimsol line can be challenge especially getting take off speed in bigger surf.Gary's boards always did it well for me

Happy old fart!

There are sooo many options for the gap in your quiver, best to talk to a shaper and let him make some suggestions and go from there...ask alot of questions and give him lots of info, best way to get the right board under ya feet....

McCoy can usually fill an opening in most quivers...........not cheap, but always the goods. mccoysurfboards.com

Pretty sure it doesent involve an indian website
