George Greenough Discussing Surf Mats

Some good points from George. He says that 2ft wave is overhead when you are on a mat. Would this mean 4ft is double overhead? (if you are horizontal). Tripple overhead on a 6 footer, Quadripple on 8 footer...This can get out of control pretty fast.

But at the same time it is a perfect instrument for scientific observations of tiny liquid glass structures on a clean sunny day. And indeed, they are the most compact surf vehicle from transportation point of view.

If my friend on a 10 ft foamie tows me into a big wave, am I still eligible for all the great prizes? Or is it just paddle in?

8)) You need to find a hectic wave, or get some mad CGI to justify that many Noooooos in the script! There has to be a lot of from inside the barrel footage too. This is where I think a lot surf movies could do a lot better. Just check "Crystal Voyager". That and great sound track is what it takes. Nice 8D...wouldn't you want to have a discounted Russian submarine in action? Surfing captain Nemo style
