general information

Follow the road up past the shops to the car park at Byron Bay and look left. That is The Wreck. Named after the remains of an old pier and ship wreck that partly remains.

The wave is a fast beach break that can be fun but rarely perfect. Waves break left and right and start breaking at 1ft up to about 6ft. As soon as there is a wave the crowd comes. Due to its easy access and location it does get crowded.

A fun wave but not the best in the region. Worth a dig for a late arvo session and then head to the Top Pub across the road.
