general information

Easy to find, follow the East Ballina signs and then go towards the river. North Wall is the north side of the man made break wall where the river meets the sea. There is a road to the break and a carpark.

North Wall is a great wave, not unlike D-bah 100km north. Sharp A frame peaks that pitch an barrel. When every where is 2ft North Wall is 4ft! A swell magnet of a place. On its day it is a serious take off and fast down the line wave that offen meets with a closeout near the beach. Best left to experienced surfers once it is over 3ft.

The locals are friendly enough if you do the right thing but it can get crowded, especially if it is the only place worth surfing on smaller days.

Great spot to check when the wind goes to the SE too, as the break wall offers protection in the onshore wind.
