general information
Summercloud Bay or Aussie Pipe as it is know is a tricky place to find and even trickier to surf. Take the road to Jervis Bay and then turn into the national park. You will need to pay. The car park is to the left just before you get to the aboriginal settlement. Do not go into the settlment as it is private. Once there you will need to walk to the bottom end of the car park (towards the water) and along the track to the left about 800m. You will come out in front of the wave. The car park is renound for break ins so it is best to only take what you need in to the area an leave your car empty and unlocked.
The wave is called Aussie Pipe as it is just that, a solid hollow peak over shallow reef. A favourite with experienced surfers and body boarders, Aussie Pipe can give you the barrel or thrashing of your life. A fest, hollow mostly left that opens out over the reef and explodes. Paddle in and line it up down the line!
Be respectful to the wave and true locals from the village and you will have a great surf you will remember for ages.
