general information

Right in front of the beach car park under the big pines you will find Newport Peak. A natural reef that on the right day can form near perfect waves. Paddling out is just a case of angling in off the beach.

The wave can be a solid left or right both wall up and eventually close out near the beach. Ideal conditions are in medium size swells and offshore winds. The Peak can get crowded and people get frustrated as the take off zone is pretty small. Show respect to the locals and just try to pick of waves where you can.
