general information
An awesome beach break, one of the best locally. This makes it popular and at times super crowded - even midweek! There is usually a couple of sandbank peaks, one in front of the lifeguard tower an one slightly more north towards the pool and carpark. Both peaks offer punchy hollow waves, longer lefts and short rights. The drops are nice and steap and powerful in bigger swells but watch for the longshore drift dragging you south and away from the main breaks.
The paddle out is easy at it breaks pretty close to the shoreline. Check it in peaky east to northeast swells and westerly winds. It's a great summer spot but can get equally as good during the winter on the right swell direction.
