general information

The first beach surfed in Australia by "The Duke" during a visit in the early 20th century. A small beach just north of Manly, Freshwater is easy to find, just find the village and follow the roads east to the beach carpark.

Freshie often has good beach breaks, especially in small to medium swells. Waves depend on the banks but good waves are fairly common. Freshwater is also popular as a family beach due to the nearby picnic and park facilities.

A great beach for a day out or a quick splash if Manly is to small or full on. Ideal for surfers of all levels.
