general information

Not exactly an easy break to reach, but then again, if you are surfing Norway that isn't really important to you. Take a car ferry from the mainland town of Bodo to the SE. Stamsund is the nearest port on The Lofoten Island group. Kvalnes lies just to the NE of the main road. The point here will pick up the majority of swell in the area with NW swell offering great results. Anything SW to SE will be offshore here.

The wave itself is on an often icy pebbly beach. There are a few other craggy reefs and bombies around the main break, all rarely surfed. Exercise caution around here in a sizeable swell as there is limited information available at this time regarding the nature of the bottom and any isolated dangers.
