general information

The nearby village of Unstadt isn’t a bad place to spend your time waiting for the breaks in the region to fire. This point is one of the true right-handers that break in the rarer N to NW swells. SW swells tend to be a little more consistent which equals left-handers in this region. The break itself is a car / long scenic walk from the village. rocking off is fairly sketchy. This isn’t the kind of spot you can hang around and see how one of the locals does it either. You may wait weeks before someone else provides you with an example.

Paddling out from the pebbly beach is longer but safer. Beware of the odd stray rock that will grab your fin usually at the worst possible time. The ride tends to section after what is a very rewarding take off. The end section is a very long basically unmakeable barrel / closeout. Depending on how bad your ice cream headache is at this stage of the session. you may wish to kick out prior to the inevitable.
