general information

Pennington Bay is the most popular spot on KI, easy access from the main road and great carpark viewing. The beach here is down a small cliff and quite rocky and rugged with rocks sticking out into the water. Waves are beach breaks. Best for experienced surfers.

A great spot when the swell is small as there is usually a sand bank or two that produce a few fun waves. On bigger days Pennington tends to close out.
