general information
The nearby village of Unstadt isn’t a bad place to spend your time waiting for the breaks in the region to fire. This beach is one of the true waves that break in the rarer N to NW swells. SW swells tend to be a little more consistent which equals left handers in this region. The break itself is a car / long scenic walk from the village.
Tidal range is a big factor around here with heights of 9 feet not uncommon, hence like any beach break, the end result here is the culmination of a lot of factors. Mid tide is often a safe bet with a little more size tacked on as the tide rises. Low tide can see some serious dredging action on the beach break for the bodyboarders. Depending on how bad your ice cream headache is, you may wish to kick out to the point after having a kilo of gravel inserted into your underpants after a few drummings.
