general information

Utakleiv is named after the nearby fishing village, which will make a good base for you, or at least a good place to dry your cod each night for the mornings breakfast. A beautiful icy beach which works in the predominant SW swell pattern of the region.

Tides are in the largish range here at 9-foot range so try the beach at mid tide and then see what happens to the wave as the banks dry or flood. When the beaches become tide affected the points are often worth a look, especially if the swell is over the 4-foot mark.
