general information
Vikten is really the last of the readily accessible breaks in The Lofoten. The village that goes by the same name is not far off the E-10 highway that services all but the western extremities of the peninsula. This is another great beach break that works in the consistent SW swell train. Often skirting that fine line between super fast barrel and crappy closeout, this wave is very tide dependent. If the swell is up expect to only get an hour or so out of it before checking the various points in the area that can crank on all but the top and bottom of the 9 foot tidal range.
