general information

Adjacent to the US base of Palmer station on Anvers Island. Your window here is restricted to summer (Dec-Feb). This is from both a temperature fact but also the lesser coverage of sea ice which absorbs and resticts swell. The west coast of the island is bombarded by storm fronts circling Antartica and this peninsula sees most of this energy with regular intensity. Unfortunately most of this raw swell carries with it an extreme amount of wind (100kmph+).

Secure a role at Palmer Station over the summer snd time your surf accordingly between fronts. Exercise extreme caution to prevent hypothermia at all times and always have an exit strategy, you don't get second chances surfing around here.
