general information
When the westerly winds are blowing onshore at Ulu's and all the lengendary west coast breaks are blown to crap, usually during the wet season, it's offshore here. This break offers up several good quality peaks with punchy rights and lefts all along the offshore reef. It's a good place for intermediate to experienced surfers and ideal conditions are clean south east swell with west winds at all tides. However, high tide is a longish paddle over to the reef across the lagoon, at low tide you can walk it in knee deep water but watch out for the urchins.
It gets super crowded as it can sometimes be one of the only breaks with a quality wave within shooting distance of Kuta (about 15 mins taxi/scooter ride). Any local in Kuta will show you how to get there, or take you for a small price.
There are several warung on the beach here offering snacks, drinks and massages.
