general information

A rare gem on the Caspian West Coast. This wave requires a few days of easterly windswell to get it moving with any real purpose. What you want then is for the wind to drop off completely which will leave you with half a day of clean waves. Babushka is adjacent to a small farmland community that has over the years deposited a series of outlying banks from shore, deposited mainly of mud and farming run off.

The result is a churning peak that offers a rare and unique experience, surfing on an inland sea 1000 kilometres from the nearest ocean.
