general information
A fickle wave to catch in a perfect state but haunt of the more advanced bodyboarders in the Newcastle area. Technically you could ride a shortboard here but technically you can Stand Up Paddle (SUP) at Teahupoo as well. A solid rifling left hander with one of the best air blast bowl sections at the end of the barrell.
The locals will really make things uncomfortable for you out here if you make an arse hate out of yourself. Look for a solid swell with a southerly component and clean surface conditions to score this wave at its best. Check to see if it's working from Nobby's carpark with your Surfing Atlas Monocular™. Available at all fine surfing shops and the shopping area on this site
