general information

A novelty wave breaking maybe 3 times per year but oh so sweet when it all comes together. You will need a very solid ESE swell to make it in past theheads at Nelson's Bay.

Winda Woppa is a a small coastal town with an excellent sandy point that protrudes well into the Bay, clear of the surrounding coast. This bank is sadly silent for the majority of the year but a few metres of powerful winter swell are all it takes to bring it to life. Hard to catch and harder to catch without a crowd, the locals will be all over it when the outside beaches are closing out at 15 feet. There are a few other novelty spots around the bay however, explore and be rewarded.
