general information

Honeycombs is a beach break with semi consistent banks. It is a summer surf spot which produces waves on the smallest of swells. Honeycombs usually isn’t surfed any bigger then four foot (head and a half) as it starts closing out at that point. The quality of the waves is completely dependant on the sand banks, but often good lefts and/or rights will break down here.

Honeycombs is a lot tamer than most of the beach breaks in the region. To get to Honeycombs head down Moses Rock Road, and turn left at the t-intersection. Check the surf from your car on the way down there as you can’t actually see the beach from the car park. Honeycombs is the southern most of all the small bays down here. In a region not at all favourable to beginners on a small summers day Honeycombs is an ideal place to give the new mini-mal a run. Due to the ever shifting sandbanks you never really know what you’re going to get when you head down to Honeycombs. However this can work in your favour, with a bit of luck you can find a nice little bank with only a few guys out. BT
