general information
The majority of surfing at Sorrento takes place inside a rocky cove with a mix of sand and rock. Usually a beginners area and works in an onshore wind (from the SW). Requires larger swell conditions to break and only surfable on the mid to high tide. There can occasionally be waves out the back, but not often. Worth avoiding on hot days in summer due to large holiday crowds (and queues to enter the National Park).
