general information
One of the main beaches for the small township of Urunga, Hungry Head breaks over a small rocky outcrop in front of a small headland adjacent to the usually closed mouth of Dalhousie Creek. If the main break over the rocks isn't working there's plenty a peaky beach breaks stretching toward Wenonah Head to the south. Open to most swells and exposed to any easterly wind, it's best surfed morning and eveving or when westerly offshores blowing.
