general information

13th can be divided in to two halves. The sandy beach break end, which works mainly on a high tide, and the rocky end which works mainly on a low tide. It all works on quite a small swell, so is a popular spot over summer. You have to watch for rips on the low tide if there is a SE swell.

Way offshore from the beach are a couple of bombies, and on big swells there will be some guys doing tow-ins there. The waves are more hollow up the rocky end (The Beacon). For most surfers it will be too big here once the swell is over 1.5 m, so the nearby reefs at Pt Impossible are the spot to go to then.
