Days of Innocence in Egypt.
Once upon a time prior to a Isreali war with Egypt pre 1967. Before the shortening of boards two nameless Australian surfers climbed down the companionway to catch the wake of the ship taking them through the Suez canal. A successful ride ensued until an Egyptian pilot boat with armed police arrested them . Charges; taking a pilotless vessel into the canal strictly forbidden!!! Dreadful Egyptian jail terms loomed, only by showing their supply of early surf movies and heavy diplomatic intervention were they free to rejoin their voyage to England. Urban Myth No, just who it was is lost in the mists of time. Enlightment allowed
