Either side of the Pier in the port of La Libertad lies a few beach breaks. On the right southwest swell and offshore northelies, these can turn on some nice peaks. However the Pier gets busy with local fishing boats and commercial craft, and when combined with the nearby sewage outfall pipe, pollution can be a problem.

At the eastern end of the beach is a rock-reef that occaisionally has some nice lefts coming off it.
