general information
Kovalam is a popular place for travellers and one of the more well known surf breaks in India. The wave itself consists mainly of short hollow lefts and rights the closeout onto the beach and gets heavy with any decent swell. But once in a while if the banks are good and a clean small swell, it can produce some fun rides. Very occasionally, on bigger swells, a left peels off the lighthouse point.
