general information

West of Playa Las Flores in the department of Usulutan, you'll need a boat to get here, though there are plenty of local operators.  This place has a history of political unrest, but presently is pretty stable. It's a excellent quality right hand point break, offering barrels rivaling any spot in the country.  Needs a little bit of size to break further out in deeper water, when the swell is small it's too shallow. Though a word of warning, once waves get over 5 ft, things get serious and while the glorious hollow tubes are on offer, disaster awaits those too much courage over ability, as the rock-reef is unforgiving. Try and catch it early before the wind gets up and spoils it.
