The jewel of Madeira surfing. A world class big wave spot. Powerful and hollow right-handers that can yield epic rides. Though this reward comes with a comparative risk, the wave breaks better the bigger (and heavier) the swell, and it does get real big. Don't know what you are doing, and you can be playing with your life. Development along the coast has seen the consistency drop, but still worthy of world class status. Getting in and out over the rocks is a challenge in itself
