Playa Grande is the most popular beach in the area and hosts two quality breaks. At the southern end off the large north breakwater of the port is a spot called Yacht.

This spots sets up like a point with fast rights rifling over a sand bottom. Works best on a southeast swell and northwest winds are offshore, though the breakwater provides ample protection from a southerly wind also. Expect local rippers to be out in force here.
