general information
Playa Grande is the most popular beach in the area and hosts two quality breaks. At the northern end of the beach off a the small jetty is a spot called Biologia.
This spots throws up fast rights rifling over a sand bottom. Works best on a east-northeast swell and west winds are offshore, though the breakwater provides some protection from a northerly wind also. Probably not as reliably good as Yacht at the other end of the beach, but tends to be a better option in summer. Expect local rippers to be out in force here also.
