general information

The break that used to be! Once a classic point break rivaling any in South America. But that was before a large breakwater was built to protect the city beach of Playa Varese. Now days it requires conditions to line up to work and breaks outside the southern breakwater, walling up across the entrance to the bay. Check it in a large southerly or mid-sized southeasterly swell and it can occasionally turn back time. On straight east swell you can gets waves inside the bay on Playa Varese good for beginners.
