By car, only few minutes east of Playa Grande is Playa Preciosa. A consistent reef break adjacent and out from the small beach with quality left and rights over a sandy rock bottom. Works best on a large north swell from a winter front, and off shore south easterlies. Rips can be huge here and the paddle is long unless you want to you want to combine rock climbing down a considerable cliff, so bring your best paddling arms. Not a place for beginners, but if you know what you're doing this is one of the better spots around, if not the island.
