general information
A classic sand bottom point break set up that can produce waves to rival any in the country. On smaller to medium swell days the waves break adjacent to the rocky point and provide fun walls for 100m or so, great for the intermediate surfer. Tends to be a bit mushy at higher tides but at low it turns on fun barrel sections.
When a long solid groudswell arrives and the waves go 6ft plus, things start to get serious and the place really turns on and takes the shape of more famous points around the world. The takeoff shifts to outside the point with a fast section to make in front of the rocks before the wave sucks up into a powerful barrel, before providing long whackable walls for a couple of hundred metres. Pure joy.
