general information

Located at the southern end of the Ichinomiya town strecth of beaches. Taito provides fun and waves that are known to be the domain of longboarders. It is protected from southerly winds, but also southerly swell so often misses out on the best of the waves. But if you're into waxing up your longest stick and hotdogging mellow small walls, then this is the local spot for you. On the best days, ie: cracking southeast typhoon swell, it will produce the longest waves (rights) in the area that peel of the breakwater. If you're looking for something more challenging, head to the next tetrapod groyne north to the premier local spot called Shida.
