general information

About 20 kms west of Honolulu airport off Hwy 93 lies Kahe Point Beach Park. Kahe Point is nicknamed, Electric Beach because of the electric power plant located nearby. Just off Kahe Point to the south of the plant is a sandy rock-reef that produces fun waves. Works in any small to mid west swell and on smaller days is a good option for all levels.

This spot is also a top dive spot. The power plant outflows clean warm water through two giant cooling pipes offshore, making the local sea water warmer and attracting all manner of sea life.
