general information

Koki beach is on the same loop road (Haneo'o Road) as Hamoa Beach, on east coast near Hana. It is known for it's red sand and spectacular cliffs. On a good east to north east swell a fun wave breaks over a sandbar some way off the beach. Rips and currents here means you need some experience. Swells that are south of east get blocked by 'Alau Islet just off the shore. As with most of this coast, it provides a good option on Kona wind days. There is also sea arch located near the point on the northern end of the beach to check out if the surf is not happening.
