general information

About 15 kilometres south of Gregory Town, Hatchet Bay has a couple of peaks breaking over rocks in front of cliffs. The pick is at the western end of the bay that lights up in a good winter Atlantic north swell and provides meaty lefts called Ledges. Can hold a large swell, though access can be hairy then. The southern end of the bay also offers some smaller, faster rights. When the surf is flat, head to nearby Hatchet Bay caves that extended a couple of kms underground.
