Rodger's Beach, is located south of San Nicolas, is overshadowed by a large oil refinery. The large stacks at a contrast to the beautiful Caribbean turqoise waters. However no pollution effects seem apparent. Outside Rodger's Beach is an offshore reef that holds one of the classic waves on the island. A barreling left hander that would not be out of place in Indonesia. Doesn't break very often at all, but when it does will draw surfers from far away. Lengthy paddle or short boat ride out through the reef pass from the boat piers at the southern end of the beach.
