The town of Assinie is located 80km east of Abidjan and is set on a sand spit between the Atlantic ocean and a lagoon. The beach front is ultra long heading some 20km west of the lagoon sea entrance, so providing ample uncrowded beach break opportunities. Relies on a small southern hemisphere winter south swell and needs offshores. Gets blown out and maxed out easily.
