general information

Going for the title of the most polluted beach in the world, this is for the adventurous surfer only, or those unlucky to be stranded in Nigeria. Rubbish all over the beach and in the water and oil tankers just offshore. However it is a south facing beach open to all southern hemi Atlantic south swell and so does get waves. Best time is during the dry season when the Harmattan blows offshore all day. Throws up quite powerful and steep left and rights towards the breakwater.  Access by boat to Tarqua Bay and then walk.

50-100m
