general information

Laniakea, or Lanis, is a righthand reef break that on it's day produces 200m+ walling rights. The reef itself is about 350 metres offshore with several different take-off zones. Accessing Lanis is relatively easy, driving from Haleiwa towards sunset, it is easily visible from Kam Highway. If there's a wave there will be lots of cars parked in the dirt carpark across the street. Can get crowded as the it's close to town. Paddle out in the channel to to the lefts of the break between Laniakea and Himalayas.
