general information
Flies is just west of Point Panics, only breaking when the swell is at least a couple of metres and during lower end of the tide. The wave is suited best for longboarders, but as the tide drops it gets hollower and can throw a small fast right barrel. Flies gets its name from when the park just inland was a landfill. BUt it's all cleaned up now... mostly. Being so close to Honolulu harbor and in deeper water, shark sightings are not uncommon here. It is located at the end of Cooke St. The road ends at a large parking lot and green grass park.
