general information
This is one of the United Kingdoms few legendary big wave spots, breaks very rarely as it requires a huge clean swell to make it rideable, a few local big wave riders have a board stashed for that special day. It breaks to the north end of Fistral beach in front of a rocky outcrop below the Headland Hotel. Draws a crowd off spectators when breaking and usually makes a photograph in the British national newspapers each winter.
