M-le-mot-dit: Location of Raivavae within Austral Islands, 14 April 2008

Raivavae is an island that is part of the Austral Islands in French Polynesia.

It sustains a population of 905 people (as of 2007 census) on 16 kilometers squared of land. Its highest point is the top of a dead volcano which is 437 meters high.

It was annexed by France in 1880.
